Begin Your Family History on Family Day, Monday February 21st, . . . Noon until 4:00 p.m.



The Durham Region Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is opening its Oshawa office on Family Day. The activities would benefit parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, or individuals. Branch member volunteers will be available to assist you to begin your genealogy/family history. We have various local resources for research as well as guides to guide through the fundamentals of this type of research. Information and materials about the Ontario Genealogical Society will be available to show you how we can be ongoing support as you research your family. We look forward to meeting you.

Durham Region OGS Branch Meeting, March 1st, 7:30 p.m.

Ontario Ladies College 1919Brian Winter - Letters from Early Whitby: specifically those written by girls at Trafalgar Castle School [Ontario Ladies College], the first private ladies school in Ontario. Letters range from 1874 - 1910, providing a window on customs of the times, with some being quite humourous. [Whitby Archives ]
